Gator GRB-2U Rack Reviews 3

The Gator GRB-2U is a rack in a soft case with 2 spots. I am a student, musician, writer, and pretty good line dancer residing in beautiful Nashville, TN. I've been a drummer and guitar player on and off for the past 10 years of my life and have began engineering and producing in the past 4. I currently play drums for the band Brookline and you can see me rockin' an Orange County Drum and Percussion or Mapex kit decked out with Zildjian K Hybrids.

I bought this case at Guitar Center in Nashville for right around $75. I was in a need of a sturdy, portable rack to take to gigs to carry my headphone amp and a power conditioner.

The rack is sturdy, cheap, and very portable. Although it is made of a rather cheap plywood, it is very sturdy and rock solid when you've got two pieces of gear bolted in.

The soft case around it feels rather cheap and I imagine over time it will rip and the zippers will come off.

Close-grained plywood cabinets and a padded nylon case. Pretty sturdy.

Bottom Line? This is the cheapest rack out there new. If you want something that is easy to transport and has a small pouch for carrying cables, ect...this is great for you. If you're looking for a life-long rack case, look for something a bit more sturdy.
